The more backlinks you have the more popular your site will be.

Forgive the guy, maybe he is not that good in English or perhaps that was just a typo. Anyway, backlink is the link of your website that is posted on other websites. To build an army of backlinks, you can scour the forums that are related to the niche of your website and post your link there. You can also check on blogs that have the same niche as yours and post comments with your link so the readers can click on the link of your website.
