    There is no set number that you should or shouldn't stick to. Maybe on some days you can only make one backlink to your site. On other days you may be able to add more. Sometimes you might go a whole week without creating any. But as long as you stick to regularly adding backlinks to your site that is what counts. What hurts SEO is when you are regularly creating backlinks and then suddenly stop. It doesn't look natural and sticks out like a soar thumb! So even if you have breaks, even if you create more on some days over others. Never stop creating backlinks to your site. Even when you get those first page top results, you should continue to add high quality backlinks to your site to make your positions even stronger because there will always be competitors that are wanting and trying to outrank you!

    I think it is you who have said that backlinks depend on the quality and not on the quantity which means you need not count the backlink that you will post today and there is no quota for the day. What matters is the backlink that you post on authority sites or on very popular sites and also the chances of that backlink to be clicked by the reader. It is always quality over quantity so the number of backlinks wouldn’t matter much.

    As many as you can, just don't make a pattern out of it. Like getting 10 backlinks for months every day, Google doesn't like patterns.

    You can build as many backlinks as you can per day, just don't make it the same number for a long period of time.

    You just create 2 to 3 high quality links for daily basic. It is the best way where you can build your SERP. High quality links mean use 2 to 3 unique content for create blog or just post it on your website blog.

    On more reasonable scale. It'd be helpful if one creates atleast 1 for the site. Though not for the homepage.But on specific page of the site. And this way there can be more link diversity. And as you can see more such links the better. But being more natural for the links usually helps for the backlinks. I have seen that daily backlinks can be helpful but providing the value is even more helpful in that context.

    When it comes to creation of backlinks, I would go for the quality and not the quantity. For example, spreading 100 backlinks on sites that are obscure then that will not be much beneficial unlike spreading only 5 backlinks but on popular blogs and websites which have thousands of traffic in a day. Aside from the good effect, a quality backlink need not be a lot so you save time in doing the spreading.
