    Yes, especially if that is a site that is related to your site in someway, if it is then it doesn't really matter if it's a do follow or a no follow link so much as it's a link from a site that is from a related site to yours. A lot of people loose out and avoid building a link(s) to their site from good sites that are in the same niche as theirs is purely because it's a no follow link and that's not what it's all about! It's about building quality links from sites that are related to yours in some way which adds much more value to that link even if it's a no follow link. Of course, you will want to build links from a mix of no follow and do follow sites. Using anchor text in some or just your sites URL in others. Just think high quality high quality and think about high quality some more. Try not to worry too much about whether a link is no follow or not.

    yes of course you must get links from sites with no follow tab . After recent google update it is necessary to have links from both dofollow and nofollow sites.

    From what I understand with a no-follow link the search engine crawlers do not check it because it is not of use to them since it is a dead link. But take note of the readers of that site particularly the web page where you backlink was placed. It can be seen by the readers and if they click on your link then that is traffic just like a real backlink. The only difference is that you don’t get a benefit from the search engine.
