    You can search for blogs that allow dofollow comments to get approved as well as forum that allow do follow signatures.

    You can also do a link exchange with a friend or a partner.

    Do follow backlinks from free classified ad sites and do follow social bookmarking sites are very easy to obtain. Just search those terms on google and you should come up with a very nice list to use. Don't forget to use the NoDoFollow plug in to verify the site is do follow before posting your links.

    I think there is a way to determine if the site is a do-follow or no-follow but I don’t remember how to do it. You are right in your idea that it is better to post your backlink on a site that a do-follow so you get 2 benefits for your backlink. First is the influence of that backlink to the search engine ranking and second is the probability of getting traffic when a reader would click on that backlink.
