    Forum backlinks are created when you put your site address along with keyword in signature tab and in your profile's web address column, and the backlinks are of no use these days.

    you can use by signature or if your link is relevant with post, then you can create it with anchor text..

    My understanding of a forum backlink is the link of your website that you had included in the signature when you sign up for that forum. When you post and someone gets interested in your post then he has the privilege of seeing your profile signature and can click on the backlink of your website. That’s my idea of forum backlinks.
