Is giving traffic to site worth?

If I have a site that worth nothing, has no backlink built in, bad looking, even just have a single post on it. Will giving bunch of traffic increased it? Boosted up alexa ranking, etc?

Now ways in which to ensure that your content is of higher quality than competitors or is unique include:

Creating content that is helpful and useful. Simply cobbling together information from another website will not generate traffic.

If you mean that the website has nothing to speak of but still you buy paid traffic to it? Alexa ranking is mainly based on traffic so if you can buy a million traffic to your site then it will definitely get a higher Alexa ranking because traffic is the only element that it looks for. But with the search engines, I don’t think it will matter much since the site has no content and no other SEO work was done on it.
