There is ample amount of technology you can use to create a website without WordPress. If by “websites like Wordpress” you mean CMSs such as Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, then clearly you’ve got one other option. Do it from scratch using the core web development techs (HTML, CSS, Javascript). You can also use python for creating a website for example the blogger is completely created in python.
