We all know that content is king and helps us rank well within the SERPs, but did you know that you can have your own voice within your content that will help you convert more people into customers? It's true, and it works very well when you can figure out what your voice is within your own content. Many people actually do this and don't know it, I know I did when I started writing my own content, and this is why a decent amount of companies are quicker on the success journey than others. Sometimes people don't even think about how they sound when they type up an article or discussion, which makes it even more unique and appealing in the eyes of the reader 
Of course, you'll still have to spell your words correctly and avoid as much grammar mishaps as possible, but that's pretty understandable if you want people to see you as an authority within your niche. You can't spell "cat" with a k and use the word "aint" and and "bae" if you want to be taken serious by your visitors. Or maybe that's what you want to be seen as and your followers think it's funny, you'll only know if you test it out I guess lol.
Writing is an art form that can have your own personality within it. Do you think that Divinci and Monet painted the exact same ways? Well, that's how writing can be as well, similar but unique at the same time. You're performing the act of painting words on a piece of paper or a blog post, but the end result is vastly different and your readers will appreciate the time you took to weave those words together
If you haven't figured it out yet, this discussion will cover the aspect of adding your own voice to your content. Not just how you want to be heard, but your personality will be within the content as well.
People see you and not just your content
When you're adding yourself within your content, and I'm not talking about using "I was here", you're opening yourself up to the readers who are on your website or blog. You may not see it, but you're adding little pieces of your emotions and actions to each piece of content you publish. If you're not doing this, you need to start trying it out because you will notice your visitors coming back multiple times and even sharing your content for their friends and family on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
People want to see the man behind the curtain, so add yourself to the content as much as possible without ruining the piece you're writing.
You stand out from the crowd
Think about it, if you're writing up a piece of content that you're adding your own personality to while everyone else sounds like a robot, do you think people will gravitate towards you more? They sure will! People love reading actual content written in a way that they can relate to, because they enjoy it and can usually relate to you somehow. If you're writing in a way that adds emotion or personal opinions in a way that triggers other peoples emotions, you will likely stand out from the crowd of bland content.
We all know what happens when you stand out in a crowd when it comes to online competition Your traffic increases as well as your sales and newsletter subscribers. So get out there and stand out lol.
You can build up your own authority
This is a biggie when it comes to adding your own voice to your content. How many times have you read through a "Gurus" article and it's robotic and drab? Not very often, because they're adding their own voice to the content in order to build themselves up as an authority over time.
Becoming an authority within your niche isn't an easy thing to do, but it's slightly easier if you just be yourself and convey that fun and happy side into your content while also being informative.
People are more willing to sign up with you
If you're adding your own voice and personality to your content, your readers are more willing to sign up with your for a newsletter or even make a purchase without doing much research. You've gained their trust through writing, and now they are willing to follow you into battle no matter where you go. Of course you won't actually be going into battle lol, you'll just be building up a following
In Conclusion
Writing in a way that adds your own voice to the content as well as your personality will make it so the reader can picture you in their head talking about all of the content they're currently reading. If someone can picture you reading the content out loud, you've branded yourself with them, and that goes much further than paying $0.10 for a single click on Facebook or Adwords lol. So get out there and refine your writing skills while adding yourself to the mix and watch your authority build up as well as your sales increase slowly

As writers who write apart from freelancing and blogging, we were taught the principles of writing and the different voices we can use, but I never thought it was still attributed to content writing.
