    Should I include my keyword in my domain name

    Is it important to include my main keyword as part of my domain? What if I included the main keyword twice, such as gamesgames.com. Is that considered keyword spamming?

    Google is likely to take an over all view of your website and not view the TLD as an attempt to spam. Though EMD are not all that relevant anymore.

    Lots of sites have their keyword as part of the domain.

    The only time that might be a problem is when you repeat the keyword so many times. That won't give you an advantage but who's saying that would hurt you either.

    There are two school of thoughts, one say you should use a "keyword" in your domain name and other say that one should go for a brand name that will pay off in longer run! Choice is yours but I personally like a brand name policy.

    • Easy to Remember– your domain name should be catchy, simple, and easy to remember. Remember that people will need to type in your domain name. You should therefore take into account potential misspellings and keep it short to avoid typos.
    • Makes Sense– you want your domain name to make sense, to reflect what it is you do. Since you haven’t had the money or time to make people understand what yabaloo.com means – you will need to create a name that makes sense right off the bat without having spent money on branding. An example would be bluewidgets.com – your customer automatically expects to find blue widgets.
    • .COM – ideally (unless you live outside the United States), you’ll want to register a .com (dot com) domain name, because that’s what people default to when typing ina domain name. Additionally, it helps to avoid hyphens if possible.

    You can do that. Having the keyword in your domain name makes it more attractive to people looking for that specific keyword.It also makes it easier to remember.

    Yes you can take keyword as your domain but keep in mind those keywords are trademark registered like "WordPress" and other brand names try to avoid brand names.
    Go for general keywords along with some prefixes which is useful gain some authority for that keyword.

    it may be true that search engines take into account keywords in your domain name, it’s important to consider how much traffic that will really get you in the long run. More important is the competitiveness of those keywords. A very generic, competitive keyword domain name, such as chocolate.com, will still be very difficult to rank for. In other words, not everyone searching for “chocolate” will see your website as the #1 result. It takes lots of work to get any website, regardless of keywords, to the top of the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) for competitive, highly searched for keyword phrases.

    Don't include keywords in the domain. It is a Black Hat SEO. Use the keywords in title tag, header tag, description, etc.

    It's up to you. You may include it or you may not. Research has shown that the domain name of a website does not affect SEO. However Google Sniper (a paid SEO book) highly preaches that you should put your keyword in your domain name. It even goes as far as using long tail keywords and also incorporating it in your domain name like this: keyword-in-the-domain-name.com. Should I include my keyword in my domain name

    I personally like to put keywords in the domain name so that my website would be easily associated with such. Google does not prohibit this act so it's probably OK. It also works for some people, so why not try it out with one of your websites? You have more than one right?

    You should have keywords every where from domain name to website name as well as on the website description, content title, content body, image title and image description. Keywords are only ways to get into search engines listing.
