    How do you rank a video only site?

    I have a new niche site that has almost nothing but videos.

    There is a short description on every page but not much other content, except these two or three lines of text.

    What are some things I can do for SEO to a video only site?

    Are those videos from Youtube? Or you have your own platform like Youtube?

    Make sure all the heading, title and anchor tags are SEO optimized.

    If your videos are interesting and and conversation starters, you can also make it open to public commenting so that people can share their thoughts and this way fresh content gets added to your video pages automatically.

    I hope these are not just videos taken from sites like YouTube, Vimeo etc.

    If it got scrapped videos from youtube or any other video site google will sooner or later hammer your site.. so make a unique video site if you want.. I've seen many sites using youtube getting penalized by google..

    I presume that those videos are links from Youtube. In that case, you need to make a short article of about 200 words maybe or more about the video so that it will be considered good contents. I don’t think that a video is considered good content by search engines.
