    Do backlinks in pdf files count?

    If you have backlinks in PDF files and those files are uploaded online, will Google find and index and count these links for the sake of SEO?

    Google will index the pdfs and any keywords you use for anchor tags. But I don't know if they count the links in a pdf as credible evidence of a backlink.
