Should I be worried about strange buyers?

Has anyone had a strange buyer like this before?

Recently a buyer purchased a tweet from me, the tweet made no sense and the website link he provided to be tweeted has a 500 Internal Server Error and has a blank page with errors on. . . should I be worried about this buyer? is this normal behavior? would you purchase a tweet like "my name is Jake?. . . http://broken-site.com" I looked at his profile and it seems this could possibly be his first purchase on seoclerks and he doesn't provide services it seems quite strange

I have seen people advertising their personal "about me" websites looking for women to marry them through Adwords. Nowadays most of the strange things in the world happen on internet, so don't bother with that

Possibly, the real contents of the page will be put up much later. And, really at this point, you don't know what those contents could be. He might have you linking to something very illegal or even dangerous. And, if that is a link coming from your Twitter account, you could be at risk. So you have a right to be suspicious and cautious.

Most buyers on SEOClerks profiles will look like that, many people register only because they have to for purchasing, not to add anything else to their account such as Services or even a profile picture.

Any order that you get and is active has already been through the SEOClerks fraud algorithm which will stop 99.99% of incidents with fraudulent buyers from happening.

As for behavior, I myself have had orders with all kinds of errors, bandwidth exceeded messages, etc but in the end it was just a problem their end that was soon fixed and the order continued like normal.

If for any reason after taking these things into account you still feel uneasy about an order then you can always just cancel it or contact staff via the helpdesk to check things over if it becomes necessary.

I run a free classifieds advertising forum and encountered a strange thing like this once. There was this fellow from abroad who intentionally posted broken links to non-existing domain names with some mumbo-jumbo in the message body that didn't quite make sense. While I have a suspicion as to why someone may do this, I advise you to turn down the iffy twitter posting request. You do not want to facilitate this sort of rubbish...

If you get a weird feeling from a seller or there is something strange you are being asked to tweet or link to, then maybe you should ask for a mutual cancellation.

Most times, this is all you can really do, especially if the buyer has not done or said anything wrong to you overtly. Sometimes, your gut instinct about the situation is the best guiding force and if you feel there is something wrong, then don't risk your freelance career over it; offer a mutual cancellation and move on to better t hings.
