    A support forum is an excellent idea for any technical or services related business as it gives you the chance to provide enhanced support for your customers. Have you started your own support forum?

    I have not done this yet but it sounds like a good idea. Though, a friend of mine owns a support forum for his computer repair business and it's not very active. That's not true of some sites such as the Xbox forum which is there to support the local XBox community and troubleshoot issues. Maybe it will just depend on how well known your product or company name is as to how popular your support forum will be.

    Support forums are not just for computers. If you own a product, you can have a support forum for that where you answer frequently asked questions and offer advice or patches for the product. Especially useful for a software forum.

    My own forum is somewhat of a support forum and it's been working out really well. At first we had more of a generic forum for the niche but found that many members just wanted to talk about product specific subjects (such as things that I have for sale) and so we went in that direction.

    A tech or support forum related to fixing old game cartridges and consoles would be a good one to have as there are many retro gamers ou thtere who need that help and information.

    I have noticed that forums for supports seem not to be popular. In fact, there is one support forum that I check once in a while and find that it is deserted. It’s been 3 months, I guess, that I have been checking on it and there’s no progress. But for me, a forum for technical support is beneficial to the public since you can get free consultation from the experts in the field.
