Why do people have to leave feedback before the money starts clearing

It's really annoying, because if someone doesn't leave feedback, you have to wait 10 days for the money to start clearing and then another 10 days or so for the money to clear.

As i'm based in Thailand, i then have to wait another 10 days for the money to hit my bank account.

What's the deal with this. someone keeps ordering my content writing gig, but then never leaves feedback like i tell them too and i have to wait an extra 10 days.

It's getting really annoying!

Many buyers do not feel negative or positive about the results you've delivered so they do not rate the order at all. Ensuring that you deliver excellent results and go that extra mile to please the buyer will get your gigs rated sooner.

Also, it is 8 days for auto-clear if a buyer does not respond and depending on what User Level you are in, it is 1, 4 or 9 days for clearance to withdraw.

My best guess on this is some people are just lazy or simply want what they order and think no further. They come to you for your content that they obviously need but they simple ignore the rest.

EDIT: Sorry I miss read but the point above explains part of it.

I would say it's to ensure that the gig wasn't delivered without the person noticing. If that's the case they gig may have not been fully delivered and the person get's paid.. Suddenly the person comes back and is like oh, crap.
