    What's your experience with free hosted forums?

    Some of the top free hosted forums include Proboards and Zetaboards. When I first started out in internet marketing many years back, I tried out these sites. There was always a glitch that made the site less than desirable. Recently, I have noticed some free hosted sites on Zetaboards that actually look good and are very active. So maybe, they have come a long way in improving the free hosted forum experience.

    I don't trust free hosted forums as they are too eager to shut you down if you don't comply with their TOS and that can go for anything including posting your own ads or affiliate links on the site.

    Free host sites don't always last. So you should pick one that is extremely popular with thousands of free forums hosted. That way you can ensure your own forum won't go out of business anytime soon.

    One shortcoming of free hosted forums is the case of the poor customer relations. I mean some of them don't have an active customer service that can help in attending to your needs when there are issues you have with your forum.
