What is organic web traffic

When you looking for real engagements of your website visitors and want them to come back often, read your articles, trust your opinions or sell something to them, you need a lot of organic traffic.

Definition of organic traffic is: real visitors (real people) who visiting your blog and they can be gained from organic search results on search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo... Or from social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest etc... But also can be visitors from referring websites where you have backlinks to your blog.

Once you build trust of your websites and make your visitors to come back, read more articles or buy more of your services / products, you get more direct traffic (traffic from someone typing your URL into their browser to visit your blog).

That's where all factors of off-page SEO are important. Get quality backlinks to get more exposure on other blogs or social media websites, then it will also bump positioning your website in search engines result pages (SERP) where you get even more organic traffic.

It can be also gained by frequent emailing your blog members if you built your email list and other various methods where you get real visitors and real clicks to convert your website into trustworthy source of information or business.

This is a great article about organic traffic. Most of my traffic comes from organic sources and it is very important for my website. If I buy paid advertisement from Facebook or Google Adword and get visitors from that, will this count as organic traffic or paid traffic? At the end of the day, I didn’t pay for fake traffic as people who click on my advertisement are interested in my website but is this an organic source? Something to consider is that Facebook allows you to set your target audience based on numerous factors such as age and interests. Google Adword is based on search results so traffic so can these be classed as organic traffic? What are your views?

From what i heard, any pay per click or Google, Facebook ads are not counted as organic traffic, but it's still far better then fake traffic. You still have good chance to convert visitors into buyers or regular visitors. So from my point of view it will work. Specially for beginners and new websites, it's hard to jump start organic traffic by only quality SEO and waiting for someone to find you on search engines. The thing is only that paid advertising and marketing work different then organic traffic reached by SEO and SERP.

Let's compare this to growing organic tomatoes. If you plant tomato and add some water now and then and let it grow itself, then it's organic and you get pure organic tomatoes, but if you use factory made fertilizers and other chemicals you will speed up growing and get more or bigger tomatoes, difference is, it's not organic, but forced to grow tomatoes

So any forcing is not organic and same case is with organic traffic

Rather than focusing too much on these, go for long tail key phrases, and you will still do quite well. So be more specific, and target certain areas or locations.
It is also important to write consistently as sites that are updated frequently and regularly will be noticed by the search engines.

It is also very important not to buy cheap links, and never be tempted to copy content or publish any low quality or spun content.

In conclusion if one wants to get more organic traffic it is important to be willing to work for it. It may take more effort and time but at the end of the day it is definitely worth it and the best traffic you could get for your site.

To me Organic Website Traffic is FREE Website Traffic. Because it comes from places where you have not had to do something or buy something to get that traffic. And it is endless as well. Unlike paid traffic ends when the funds run out. Organic traffic comes from the search engines naturally through good ranking positions. It comes from other websites such as forums and blogs and social networking, social media sites that are talking about your site, product or brand and are linking to it from their site in someway. So provided you keep those good rankings, and provided you keep receiving traffic from all those other sites, blogs, forums etc etc that are talking about and linking to you and sending traffic to you then that is all endless organic traffic.

Of course, for that to happen, you need to be in a niche that is high in demand and you're providing something that nobody else really is providing on the same level as you're providing it at. And even if they could, it wouldn't have your spin on it that yours does anyway.

That's what keeps people coming back for more, giving them just what they want but making them thirst for more. Giving them what they want then a taste and a tease and a promise of more. Then gently directing them to your subscription form and to following you on social media.

Of course, you still have to do the social media posting and engaging. And you have to create the content for your site to post. Whether that be long articles or just pictures, videos, news, guides, a blog or whatever it may be.

And lets face it, in order to rank, you'll probably need backlinks. But they'll have to be the right kind of backlinks and they'll have to be of the highest quality. You wouldn't want too many too soon for a new site but a steady gradual grow of high quality backlinks and social media showerings is usually enough to get your site somewhere in the top 100. Obviously the higher up you are the more organic traffic you would get.
