    How to attract advertisers to my site?

    Alright so I have been working on my site for a few months now but still have yet to get any emails from potential clients looking to advertise on the site... I have ad banners that talk about advertising on the site similar to BHW's own ad banners and I have a link to advertising in the navbar.

    Here's some quick site stats:

    Alexa world wide ranking: 762,500
    Alexa backlinks:51
    Indexed pages: 5590

    Does the sites ranking still need to improve or would other tactics I'm forgetting help here?

    The site is the same one that is in my sig.

    What you have to realize is that the people who are visiting your site are visiting it for some other reason. Maybe they found it in a Google search for something they were looking for (not related to advertising) and so even though you have those banners on your site adverting that you are looking for advertisers, they aren't looking for advertising. That's why you need targeted visitors for that kind of thing. You need to advertise your site to the types of people or audience that you think would be looking for that kind of thing. For that you can use many programs such as Google Adsense ads which will display on sites for keywords you set so you can advertise to the right type of people who are looking for advertising, click your add and arrive on your site and then buy your advertising package whatever it may be.

    I guess Adsense is the best way to monetize your site with advertisements. Although there are ways to attract advertisers but most advertisers prefer big websites like the news network. Although the charge for advertising is high, the news network with thousands of new traffic every hour can give a big exposure. In other words, if your site is small, just be satisfied with Adsense for you might just be wasting your time in finding advertisers.
