    Sir, you may get plenty of backlinks, if you upload various contentful pdf/ doc/ txt files in public domains containing your backlinks. However the content and backlinks landing page should be related to your niche area.

    May I know what those public domains are? My understanding of public domains are websites that are owned by the government like the gov and edu sites. But I have read that the Wiki sites are also considered public websites. My next question is what kind of files could be posted on those public domains? If articles can be posted there then I guess there will be a lot of posting of such files.

    I had read in one discussion that the best way to have quality backlinks out there in the internet is to exploit the popular blogs. When you read a blog that you liked and you posted a comment there then that is considered a quality backlink since the blog is popular. That means your comment can be read by the thousands of readers of that popular blog.
