hello....
i want to know about backlinks...
first what do we mean by backlinks ?
and how backlinks can be advantageous to any website ?
and also how can i add backlinks to a web site ?
is there any software for it or i should have any special accounts or something to provide backlinks ??

Backlinks are links (that point to your website) on other webpage on the internet.
Search engines determine how prominent is your website by looking at the sites that are linking your content (intern your website).
There are various services that can be purchased to acquire backlinks.

Hello backlinks are link on other pages that direct traffic back to your page from other website for example blogs etc you can get backlinks by having a blog or another website publish an article about your website and providing links BACK to it

Thank you for the very clear and easy to understand description of backlinks. The important part is the directing of traffic to your site because when you post a link of your site on another site that has no traffic to speak of, it is like putting up a store on a deserted highway. It is the people that make the business work. When there are more people who can see your backlinks, the better the chances for your site to get traffic.
