    Should I ping my new site?

    Hello there, I just finished my new website. Added all the content and stuff. Should I ping my site to get it indexed faster? Any cons to this? I remember when I was doing this stuff last year I used a site called pingdevice but it's down now. What should I use? Thanks,

    for normal website you don't need to ping, just submit your sitemap by google webmaster tools and in a couple of days your page will be indexed.
    If you really want to ping somethng, you can use this god website, this 3 are the top 3 ping websites I use sometime:

    Pinging helps. If you ping your website, search engines will be notified about your site. Indexing your site will be faster if you ping. However, submitting your site map to Google web master tool is also helpful. Myt question is: is there any difference between submitting your sitemap to Google and pinging your site. How does the result differ?

    Like Peter said, those are one of the top pinging sites and they come in handy. But before doing this just update you sitemap to google webmaster tools and track your site over there. It will take some time to index but once done it will be permanent.

    Yes, ping your website to make it clear about web presence of your website. But over doing of pinging will harm your website hardly.
    So pinging too much is bad for site.
