    How do I learn SEO?

    Everyone above has provided some great resources for reading so am not going to repeat as there is a lot of information out there on the web and in books. Keep in mind this is a very changing area and that is much to the thanks of Google who is dominating this market. You care a lot more how you rank on Google versus Yahoo and Bing these days or the 1000's of search engines that a few people use.

    Just be sure to read different forums, articles and TRY everything that you read! And don't forget to ask questions, take part in discussions... But I always prefer learning SEO alone by trying something, if this doesn't work, I change it or try it again... How do I learn SEO?

    In answer to the title of this discussion, I have learned about SEO in this site by reading the discussions about SEO. When I joined this site late last year, I had no idea about SEO and what it is all about. In fact, I don’t even know that search engines can provide a good number of traffic. I was really surprised to know that website owners are focusing on the SEO capability of their websites because of the traffic that they can get from the search engine results list. So for those who want to learn, roam around this forum and read the discussions about SEO.
