Do facebook likes matters in SEO?

Hi,
I know that social media and social networking sites help in ranking. We can use these platforms to engage the targeted traffic. Than what about organic traffic? Do facebook likes help getting top rank? Any answer to this question will be appreciated.As I have seen many people buy face book likes to get top ranking. Does it really help?

Of course! Increasing facebook fan page likes means that your product has been reached to many customers or interested parties. Then your page will be seen by the friends of the members and friend of friends. This way your page can go viral depending on the content that you provide inside. It will definitely draw organic traffic!

Yes it matters a lot.
All the current social dependency is on facebook as such it the biggest social media till now and may remain.
About every 6th person is on fb currently so it surely gonna to change and create buzz for you.

more like mean your page get more exposure and sometimes it goes better virality too. But its only apply for page build manually and consistenly. Relevancy of your fans base will improve your page edgerank

I have read in one discussion about SEO that search engines are now taking into consideration the engagement of your website in social media. That means the links you post on your timeline has a value in SEO capability of your website. However, I am not sure about the likes because that is a very minimal engagement in terms of influence. What I mean is clicking the like on a post is not much activity compared to a comment.
