If you have a list of links and you want to check if they're live, you can use scrapebox.

A tool such as ahrefs (google) will not only show you the authority value of each link, but a break down of your link profile.

Number of linking domains
Number of linking IPs
Seperated by .edu,.com,.org and so forth.

If you don`t have scrapebox, you can just use the free scrapebox linkchecker
Just google it !
It is faster than scrapebox normal checking

This is my thoughts on the checking of backlinks. I can imagine a site that has been in existence for a long time that the owner had built a substantial amount of backlinks like 10 backlinks a day which means thousands in total. Now the this question of mine on how to check those thousands of backlinks and what would you be doing with the list of backlinks that the tool would present to you?
