    Who usually makes out better in site flipping - the buyers or sellers?

    So I understand people buy websites so that they can make more money from them than what they pay for the site. But if this is the case, why do people sell websites if they can make more if they just keep it? Because of this, I am hesitant to ever buy one because I feel like there is a catch or something I am missing.

    It really depends on the case and it's always different. 
    Let's say for example you have a domain buygold dot sth, but you don't have gold to sell. But you have the domain, a very unique domain.
    Then, there is the other person that sells gold, but the domain is busy. She/He can't find a good domain and will purchase yours.

    But thanks to your domain they will make money. And  you won't lose anything. You will also earn.
    The buyers make more, but the sellers, if they sell more domains, they also earn a good revenue.

    70% of the time, the buyers will make probably 50-100 more times the amount [or more] than they purchased the domain for from a seller. Like 'Pizza.com' got sold for 2.5-6mish, and I'm sure whom ever owns that domain probably is making a lot off of it by promoting pizza.

    Flipping/Reselling domains is quite fun actually.. I love to resell things just to see how much I can get from it.. it's sorta like a game.. nothing like buying and selling virtual things huh? I term flipping/domain auctions/selling/etc in the same category - to me it pretty much is.

    I don't mean for domains, but actual sites. THere are lots of sites on places like flippa that either claim to be established or were just created to be sold right away. The domain could be decent or not, but in general, I can't see myself buying a website from someone because it seems like they wouldn't be selling it if they could make more holding onto it. Oh well, I guess buying websites just isn't for me!

    This is a good topic for debate. If a site has potential to earn good money then both the buyer ad seller gets benefit.
    Seller sell his property because he want to earn quick money and buyer benefited by already built web property.
