Delete my name from search engines

I have a rather unique name that comes up on search engines. For personal reasons this did not sit well with me. I have had colleagues and friends who have mentioned my full name online but I just don't want to be found really. I've tried creating different social media profiles to bury myself but all the search results still rank me in the first and second pages on Google! Any suggestions or strategies? Feel free to quote me! Thanks.

I have looked into Google but their policies are only for when you have offensive things posted about you. Mine are just everyday stuff like where and who I went to university with, etc. I basically don't want people to know these things as I think it's private.
