The answer lies in search engine optimization. You should optimize your video for search engines. How do you optimize your youtube video for Google and other search engines?
Have a title that includes keywords or use a long tail search term as the title. For instance, if your video is about making Pizza, the title should clearly explain what the video is all about.
Secondly, add a description that describes your video properly. The description should include keywords, keyphrase or long tail search terms.

We also have a Youtube channel and we are scrambling for subscribers at the moment. We already did some editing to some of our videos by changing or adding keywords so that it can have a fighting chance in the search engines. So far, the keyword is the only SEO I know for videos in Youtube but I am still searching for more ways to increase the SEO capability of our videos.
