I need help on how to us backlinks and to know how long will it takes my website to be on the first page on google.
Please advice the best tool I should buy and how to use it.

Ahrefs is definitely a good choice to go with, you can also use SEMrush since they do pretty much the same thing, but both of these are paid services. They both do really well at helping you determine which keywords to target and they also help you spy on your competitors so you know what they're doing in order to rank on top of the SERPs for the same keywords you're targeting :)
I've used Ahrefs recently and can vouch for them. They're a little pricey but worth every penny since they allow you to save lists and check back in when you want to target something new. Some of the keywords will need to update, costing you some points within your account, but that's pretty normal since the system will have to re-evaluate the searches and rankings for those particular keywords :)
I haven't used SEMrush in a few years, but I know they're comparable to Ahrefs, and that's because they're essentially an all-in-one toolkit for website and online marketing.
There are a few free services out there, that if you combine them they can do the same as Ahrefs and SEMrush, but they're extremely limited because each search you perform on them actually uses internal resources that cost money. I would say to start with the cheapest account on Ahrefs and see how you like it. If it's something you can't live without, upgrade your plan or stick with the one you're already on, and make sure your website keeps climbing the rankings :D
