    For sites like yours, i recommend Facebook and Digg. plus use Some high traffic forums and share your link and some sontent therr too..

    When it comes to promotion, it is the social media that comes first to my mind. Why so? It is because social media is free. All you need is to create an account, acquire some friends and make a post to promote your interest. And for a tutorial, it is appropriate to promote it in social media since all of your friends there have access to the internet. But I agree that a video tutorial is the best so promoting it in Youtube is also a good idea.

    In my opinion you can use social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube in promoting your tutorial site because of their strenght to promote and funnel a lot of people to a site. Also promoting it to relative niche sites in social media is easier.
