When you start getting to the point where you need to bring on extra talented people to boost your website or business even higher, you may only want to hire people that are near your location, because you want to manage everything by yourself. I'm here to tell you that hiring people that are local is just limiting you and your business to be pushed even higher because you're not accessing the world of talent out there that might be 10 times better than your current employees.
When I started working online, I thought "I'm going to be the best at SEO and Marketing so I can make millions!" and now I think "There are people better than me, so why not hire them and manage other parts of my business for success?". Your mindset is going to be altered once you start hiring people to do a job, and you need to understand that you might be firing these people for bad performance, so it's actually easier to let someone go that you've never met. Firing someone face to face isn't an easy thing to do, but if they've worked remotely the entire time, you can let them go with a simple email and then changing passwords.
This world is changing, and hiring people who need to be at your location every day or having them move hundreds of miles away to you, is going to be outdated sooner rather than later. Think about it, how many freelancers out there are making a full-time income by working for companies and other people right now? The workforce is going to go remote, and if you're ahead of the curve, you can save money and push your business to be better even quicker 
Companies are too focused on keeping employees close
Back when I would apply for positions at an SEO company, I would always ask if it was going to be remote work, because SEO and online marketing can definitely be done remotely. Usually, the person would respond with "No, this is an in an office position and we would need you here between 9am and 5pm to get the job done."
This isn't something I liked, so I always turned down the positions, and I'm sure that company hired someone with 1 or 2 years of experience that needs to be thoroughly trained and is still going to mess something up lol.
Allowing people to work remotely lowers stress
You won't have as many people in the office, because they will be remotely operating and submitting work, so that means the work-life stress levels will be much lower. There won't be any sort of in-person friction, so the overall morale of the office will usually be pretty high, and that's one of the reasons freelancers like doing what they're doing because they don't have to go to work, they just work!
Lowering work-related stress increases loyalty
If someone is working remotely, they won't be as stressed, and they will be more loyal to you because you're letting them live their lives while still getting paid to work when there is something to be done. You won't be watching over their shoulders to see if they're doing everything right, they should already know what to do to get the job done, and you won't have to manage them because you've already selected the best remote worker possible who doesn't need to be trained
Hiring remotely increases your talent pool
Think about it, if you only hire people within a 20-mile radius of your location or require people to move near your business, you're limiting yourself from some of the most successful people out there. I was given the option to work at a marketing company for $60,000 a year starting off and I immediately turned it down because I had to uproot my family and move 1,000 miles across the country. I would be working in an office environment, and I wouldn't have much freedom, and that's not something I was interested in even though the yearly salary was nice.
You can hire someone from the Philippines to do your coding and programming, you can hire someone in the United States to build your English client base, you can hire someone in the UK to do your social media marketing, and everything will work as a flawless system with no one knowing you have a team of remote workers doing everything needed to be done in order to have the best company possible.
In conclusion
Hiring people from all over the world not only increases the chance of getting better talent to do the jobs you need done, it helps lower stress levels as well as increases productivity since you're not trying to micro-manage them every step of the way. Try hiring a few freelancers on a monthly retainer and see what they can do for you. You'll likely have to go through a few of them before you find the right ones, but that's the same as hiring someone to work in your office, people will tell you they're the best but their work habits are what do the talking so you'll need to see what they do and when they're doing it to see which person is the best fit for the position

Happy employees and employers means a fruitful business. I like the noted points 'Allowing people to work remotely lowers stress and Lowering work-related stress increases loyalty.' I, myself is a freelancer and I strongly agree with these points. Working at home is truly amazing because you can work in any situation and condition. You don't need to travel and spend time in a heavy traffic, less fare expense, more beneficial for single parents because they can look over their kids while working. This can also be beneficial for the employer's part like they don't need to rent a physical office for their operation, and less expense for the utilities.
