I have read several discussions with the opinion that Google can detect a spun article. Maybe that is true if you had used a spinning tool or software. That may be the rationale of the advice not to use spinning tools and software. If you want to spin an article, do the spinning yourself. Better yet, rewrite the article in a way that it will have a different shape and color. One writer had taught me the technique of rewriting which uses the outline so the rewritten article will look entirely different.
