    What I understand with article submission is that you have submitted an article to be published on another website that is more likely a blog that is popular. When it gets published then that is already a quality backlink if the blog is really popular with thousands of regular readers. Your content will definitely include a link back to your site so the readers can easily click to check your site in case they are interested.

    The whole purpose of article submission is to build backlinks to your sites from sites related to yours. Because article directories are basically content directories that exist for webmasters to get content from for their own sites. They can use those articles in that article directory on their site provided they keep the links intact. The articles you submit to an article directory will contain your links within it usually in the body somewhere once and or in the resource area as well. So provided the webmaster keeps those links within the article then they can use that content on their site.

    This benefits the webmaster because he/she is getting free content for their website that is related to what their website is about and then that means, you'll get a backlink from that content he/she posted on their site which would likely be a site that is related to the same niche or industry that your article was based around as well. However since all the Google updates these days and emphasis on unique content, article directories are not used quite like they was before both by webmasters looking for content and those looking for backlinks also.

    I don’t clearly understand this article submission topic. Can you explain more? My understanding is that you submit an article to a website in the hope of getting it published. Am I right on my assumption? But I know that it is not easy to get an article published because some website owners are choosy and some are suspicious. Maybe it is better to find another way of spreading your backlinks.
