I see a lot of people on Facebook promoting different products and websites in their wall. I'm pretty sure that most of them are fake accounts and are using pictures that are not their own. A lot of them use pictures and photos of pretty ladies and handsome men. And you know what? Their posts are getting a lot of likes!
I don't have a fake account on Facebook. I simply use my real account or one of my Facebook pages to promote my websites. They're getting a decent amount of likes and views. However, I am tempted to create a fake Facebook account and slap in some beautiful photos of people, get lots of friends and get lots of likes.
What do you think? Is creating a fake Facebook account a great way to promote websites and products?
Also I should add that the best thing to do (I find) is simply to create a post on your page or profile and then share that permalink on pages and communities. Instead of creating a new post each time you're creating posts that link to that one which can be rewarding in time if you do it right. :)

I personally just use my personal Facebook account to promote my website but like you, I have also made a business page. I think that this is way better than making a fake account. Facebook has been getting pretty good with detecting fake profiles - my friend got his three banned :D so imagine getting a ton of friends, likes, etc. and then getting reported and banned. It would mean that you wasted a lot of your time. Just do it the clean and honest way!

The other way they may ask you to do that is to upload a photo of yourself which they'll manually check in your photos for. If they see that the photo you uploaded doesn't match you (even if it is but they don't think it is) they will just suspend your account and you wont be able to get it back even by appealing. FB rarely listen to and act upon appeals.
This may happen if you start posting things to your profile, pages or groups straight away. Especially so then as they'll look at your history and know what you're up to and just gouge you out.
Moral of the story, you're better off using your own real account (not creating a fake one with poached photos).
