    Do you know who your targeted audience really is? Do you know what they are looking for? Where the majority of them live, what their other demographics are? If not, then it's high time you find out! By identifying your targeted audiences personas you'll be able to better address content that is meant for them. 

    2. Design, Structure and Content
    Do you think that a website should look pretty or have better structure and content? Well, if you said pretty you would be wrong. While a pretty looking website is one thing, a website that has good structure, navigation and content is much more important! At the end of the day, pretty will only get you so far! If your website lacks substance, character and personlity, and it's not easy to navigate and find pages and things on it, people wont stay long while using it and search engines might not even index it!

    3. Actionable, Informational, Educational
    Three things your website should be is actionable, meaning that it inspires, motivates or just tells people to do something. It should also be informational and educational too.     Excellent Mike I will keep note of this as I have just begun a new business site and it is starting to get effective so far as I am using Pinterest as well.

    I have a blog and use social media websites and using the other skills from your previous posts and its starting to go in the right direction so I really do appreciate your posts I do and am sure others do too.

    Great tips! I can also add this; if you are starting out and funds are low in the beginning, you can take advantage of the free tools available to build a site for starters. Or hire someone from Fiverr for $5 to design a basic five-page website for your business. But you should always have a plan not to stay that way for too long. As the business grows and improves, upscale and outsource the design/overhaul of your website to a professional designer. Take a look at awesome sites like Uber, Apple. They give me inspiration on how I want my site to look.

    I have a business website and I sell lingerie from my website. It is a affiliate store where I sell products from Amazon, Commission Junction and Linkshare.
    For and foremost thing required for any business is customer. There are different kinds of customers and finding the right one is key to success.
    A business website should also look clean, if it is cluttered with ads and products, this will be a turn off for many customers. YOu must turn away from the temptation of having too many ads on your website.

    Thank you for all these good tips! I have created a website for my freelance business a few years ago, and I have almost neglected it. I really need to tackle all these one by one, following your guide. I was thinking and even discussing with my partner about creating a blog and having social media accounts for our business as well, he doesn't really agree with it, but I think these are important.
