Learn how to write SEO optimized content

Creating a lot of backlinks for your site which has dead or no content at all is worthless to do. So, writing articles which are SEO optimized is essential for ranking your pages and your site on the search engines. If you don’t have an amazing content then try to create one first and then do off page optimization. When creating your content you must optimize for the search engines. The focus should be on the following points-

1) Title of your post-

The title of your post must surely contain the keywords that you are focusing on ranking. Try writing headlines that solve the problem of the readers. In this way, you can get more clicks. Using words like ‘guaranteed’, ‘honest’ etc. helps to boost your rankings. Make sure it is less than 70 characters so that the full title becomes visible in the search engine results.

2) Meta Description-

This is an essential part of working on. First, make it clear that keywords used in the meta description are surely not going to influence your rankings. It has nothing to do with the search engine rankings. But why it is important?

Suppose if they are two sites having almost the same title and ranking one and two on the first page. But your meta description is more interesting than your competitors then you are more likely to get a click-through. And when Google notices that the site ranking second is getting more visitors they will move you to the top spot for sure. So, make sure your meta description is good to attract more visitors from the SERPs. Its length must be around 160 characters.

3) Content-

Google loves those sites which are regularly updated and have fresh content. First, let me tell you that you must not write your content just to rank on the search engines. Your focus should be on providing value to your readers. Your readers must benefit from your content. And if you do that you will also get a lot of shares on the social media and also a lot of free backlinks from the other websites because people will give a link to your website as an extra source of information if they find your content useful. It must not be less than 300 words. The longer it is greater is its chance to rank in the search engines.

4) Keyword density-
It is the frequency of the keyword used in your post that you want to rank for. Don’t use the keyword a lot of times (keyword stuffing) as it will do more harm than good. Because you might get penalized. Instead, try to use the LSI keywords (the keywords related to your main keyword). This will help you rank for other random keywords as well.

5) Outbound Links-

Try to use outbound links wherever possible in your content as an external source of reference for your readers. Believe it or not, this really helps because it will give the search engines a signal how well you are connected with the other websites in the same niche.

Interesting! Especially the part about Outbound Links. I think there was a discussion/debate on here a little while back about outbound links and whether or not they can have a positive affect on your SEO. I think it was Cristian that posted it after he saw someone ask someone on the Google team whether outbound links played a part in SEO. I think his very short answer (seeing as it was on Twitter) was that no, they don't have any affect on your SEO. But I digress! And I think many others will too. Simply because by adding outbound links to other similar resources can add value into your articles. From a human perspective. I personally like it when an author has taken their time to provide me with an outbound link to something that is related to or interconnected to what I'm reading about. Such as citations and references. These add value to that article and further extend it to make it more informational if you know what I mean! And that's what the Internet is about anyway right? Linking to other sources, citations, references etc so you can read more about it or corroborate what is being said you know?

Yes and the most important thing across many platforms is the content. The more content you’re putting and the more consistent that you’re doing engaged then the more people commenting you should get.

Google catches only 65 characters, therefore, you should keep your title less than 65 characters (including spaces). Google shows the contents that exactly matches with the search query. Therefore, you have to title your article with a long tail search term (the phrase that a searcher types in a search box). When your title matches the search query, your article will appear on the top list. Your next focus should be on keywords in your article. You should use primary keywords and secondary keywords. You should use 5 percent primary keywords.

It is getting clearer to me that every time I would come across a discussion about SEO activities, content is always there. So I guess content is the priority in the list of elements for SEO. I have been mulling for a long while by comparing 2 blogs. One uses keywords and all other methods while the second one has very good contents. I am betting that the second one can get a higher SEO ranking than the first one.
