I am so excited and wanted to share it. I just got an email from Google saying they have just sent me my very first Google Adsense payment!
Now there are loads of people saying that you can earn thousands through Google Adsense and this is just not that realistic because you will need a huge amount of traffic to earn thousands of dollars from Google Adsense.
There are also loads of people saying that Google Adsense is just not worth it at all because you hardly earn anything.
My view is that the truth is somewhere in between there. It is a nice side income and with time you can build it up to be a really good source of income.
Here is a screenshot of my earnings to date. My earnings are increasing all the time as I add new content. I also think that there are certain tips and tricks that you can make use of to maximize your Google Adsense earnings. I have been playing around and I am finding my own little method of working this.
For me, I just love it when my hard work starts to pay off. One thing I have to add is that making use of the techniques I learn here to get my website ranking higher has helped me loads, as has buying services here.
One of the biggest jumps I had in my Adsense earnings was a few months back when Anwebservices sorted out my website, speeding everything up, sorting out all my plugins and changing my theme. Until then my Adsense earnings was about R0.03 a day. As you can see from my screenshot I am now earning a lot more per day. If I don't get any clicks on any of my websites I usually earn about R3.00 a day which is a 100% increase!
If I get clicks I am now earning up to about R50 a day.
Just in case you are wondering $1 = R13 approximately. So it is not a fortune but it is a nice income stream that is increasing every day.

It's still shows your CPC and CTR Lynne. And your domain names lol. I only say this for your benefit as people have actually lost their Adsense account posting their CPC/CPM stats etc in the past.

That being said, with just a few more clicks, you'd earn [b]R60[/b], right? - If I'm not a total retard here, wouldn't that also mean that you basically make $4 per day?

Sometimes I wonder if people would be interested in what I have to say, and why what I say would even matter. This is what is mostly stopping me from creating a blog. I guess I am too worried of what people would think about my posts, and such. So my Google adsense earnings for a blog would probably never reach over $0.10 in a month's time.
No! If everyone is at work, then they won't be able to read your blog during work hours. The thing you need to get is get those that are AT work to read your blog! :D Sometimes I wonder if people would be interested in what I have to say, and why what I say would even matter. This is what is mostly stopping me from creating a blog. I guess I am too worried of what people would think about my posts, and such. All I can say to those people saying you hardly earn anything with Adsense is that they aren't getting enough traffic! Adsense can pay well when you have a good site with a lot of traffic on it. I earned around £1k in about 2 weeks with one site once. And that was an old blog on Blogger.com!! I was one of the first blogs ranking for sell your mobile when mobile phone recycling first kicked off though.
It's not easy and earnings can dribble in sometimes. But dribbles are better than nothing and it does add up eventually. Plus it motivates you to go forward, to add more content and stuff to your site and generate more traffic. It can be quite addictive actually.
One thing I'll say, you should edit out the RPM etc in your screenshot. It's against Adsense terms to post any of your EPM/CPC/CTR stats etc. They probably wont know it's you like lol. (Although it does show your domain name). But it's better to be safe than sorry if you value and appreciate your Adsense earnings.
But congrats and onwards and upwards! That's great Lynne congrats! It's such an awesome thing and feeling to get payments from Google Adsense. I don't earn as much with it these days as I used to. It can be quite addictive actually. One thing I'll say, you should edit out the RPM etc in your screenshot. It's against Adsense terms to post any of your EPM/CPC/CTR stats etc. They probably wont know it's you like lol. (Although it does show your domain name). But it's better to be safe than sorry if you value and appreciate your Adsense earnings. :) But congrats and onwards and upwards!
