    Article marketing is important for getting quality links that helps your site rank up the search engine if you do it th right way and you also get free targetted traffic to your sites from those articles as long as those articles are still live.and only few of online directory online really worth your time and effort so check carefully the article directory you want to use.

    The term article submission is not really clear to me. My question is not the article but the place where you submit. When you say article submission my understanding is that you are submitting your article to another site. Am I correct in that? I used to be a co-blogger that I submit articles to a blog for publication and I had countless of articles published. If that is article submission that we are talking about then it is clear to me now.

    Article submission generally works by:
    • Creating a high quality article (usually between 400 to 500 words) that may describe your website, review a product found on your site, or may cover a topic related to your website.
    • Said article must contain 2 to 3 links (including the anchor link) pointing back to your website and must be posted to various article directories.
    • If online users are directed to the particular article through a search query and saw that it is relevant and well-written, there is a high chance that they will click the link or manually visit your site.

    It helps to build brand awareness, traffic and backlinks. But it's not working as well today as it used to. It's not as easy and you have to be careful bout which article directories you submit to. But these days, article marketing isn't about just submitting to article directories only. It's about marketing your articles on many other sites and places as well including social media sites, web 2.0 blogs, forums and more. But the general reward is increased traffic to your site from those places that have those articles on them, as well as any backlinks you'll get from where those articles are published to and where they are republished (syndicated) to. The whole idea behind article sites was for webmasters to find content for their sites, content that was related to their sites. As well as help article writers or webmasters get traffic and backlinks. But now it's all about having and using unique content only and duplicated copied content from an article site is not going to get you good rankings in the search engines!     I don’t clearly understand what you mean by article submission. If it is for guest blogging then you have to include the link of your website in your article so that readers will have the opportunity to visit your site and you get new traffic. But if what you mean is to upload articles on your site, that is content you are uploading and it is good for SEO if that content is relevant to your niche and if it has substance. Of course, articles are assumed to be well written with no grammar errors.
