    is it possible to defeat Google on their search engine?

    I would start a new webmaster forum for my blog site and ranking it to top search but when i check this keyword "webmaster forum", Google is getting 2 first positions (as the picture)

    is it possible to defeat Google on their search engine?

    I don't know if i build a new webmaster forum it is possible to defeat Google on their search engine to get top 1 on Google search?

    I have seen many cases like this and waiting for a valuable answer.

    It is showing different results for me here. Although the productforums are still ranked #1 for that keyword.

    But in answer to your question, it would be very hard to outrank Google's Product Forums for that keyword. Especially these days as that is a super high competition keyword. You would need a lot of age and a lot of good content and visitors and users and off-page SEO as well to outrank Google. I'm not saying it's not worth doing. As nothing worth doing is ever easy! And if that's what you want to do then go for it! You never know, in time, your forum could become a big forum like this and then eventually outrank the top forum ranking for that keyword.

    Besides, I always say that "there is room for one more at the top". You just have to try and see what happens but don't expect to just be able to outrank Google's own webmaster forums in any short time period. It takes time and hard work and heck load of SEO. is it possible to defeat Google on their search engine?

    Yes you are right, it is hard to outrank Google but if possible, what conditions to do that?

    As I know a good webmaster forum like webmastersun.com could not get number #1 as in the image above, that's why it making me confused, i can get same problem if I start a new webmaster forum while I need to spend more money and time for it but will get position #3 and it can be the best postilion for a forum site can have.

    I'm with Mike on this one, anything is possible but that does not mean it will be easy that's for sure!

    I'm interested to know whether you have run a forum before or not. I did one about 2 years ago on my baby store website and it was so hard to get going that I gave up.

    Granted that I didn't have any forum experience at all but I found it really hard trying to get people to interact.

    Once again I am not saying it isn't possible but you will need to have a really good game plan, you will need to have a lot of determination and keep going.

    Yes I have ran some forums before and they are free forum cms, but if I start this time, I can go for a paid forum cms and hiring good writers to posting on my new forum which will be benefit for SEO

    Improving SEO can help me more new members joining the forum daily and posting on it, also increase interactions naturally.

    Yes I am sure that hiring great content writers will have a very positive impact, for SEO but also to get things going in the beginning.

    I would say no, it isn't possible to outrank Google on "webmaster forum". I also have different results, similar to what Mike got but overall I don't think you can rank in front of Google on this one, they clearly want to hold monopoly

    I mean just look at the ranking signals:

    Just have a look at Google's total backlink history, how can anyone outrank that? Protip: You can't. No even with all the white hat and black hat SEO in the world.

    There is nothing impossible in the internet and that includes Google and other search engines. Right now Bing is flexing its muscles with the Bing Rewards although my take on that scheme is a big failure because it is only available for US residents and the earnings are so minimal that users tend to go back to their habit of using Google. That is the clue to the power of Google – the habit that we have in depending on Google for our needs regarding information.
