How many backlinks should I get every month?

What is the ideal number of backlinks to be obtaining every month? I don't want to get a massive amount of backlinks, but enough to gain credibility with Google.

There is not a fixed number of back link in this world. You have to do back link or necessary updated back link for your website every time. Because competitions are every time online. You have to measure which website is giving fight with you and you have to become a good analyzer for your website for generating huge traffic.
