Where to sell an expensive high potential digital product?

Fellow freelancers,
I recently saw a discussion about this and would love to hear your thoughts about it.
I'll give you some details regarding this, so you get a better picture.

Imagine that you have a "super product". - A product that contains, let's say:

100-200 videos.
Sales letters.
Sales Copies.
Landing Pages.
PDF files.
etc.

Just think, "the best product" you've ever seen. That's what you have in your hand right now. And now you want to make a ton of cash.

So, what do you do?

You will sell this product for anything between, let's say: $499 and $999.

Selling digital products is probably the easiest and most profitable way to do business. When selling digital products you only have to do the work once, after that its all smooth sailing. You mentioned selling PDF files and i do that here on Seoclerks. I sell things like contracts, Contacts, and more. This is the best for my productivity on a daily basis. I took some time to set it all up and now every time i get a sale i don't have to do anything they just get the product download it and done! I wish i had more products like this to sell, and in the price range you mentioned. I don't think something over $300 will sell many times here on Seoclerks but its worth a try. After all what does it cost you to list things here? if you need any help selling these products i would be more than happy to list and resell them for you. Thanks for sharing this topic! Hi Jkeyz2. I think perhaps a product for that price range would actually sell well here. If you have a really good level here with loads of recommendations and positive reviews your product will generate interest for sure.
If you also then have your own website with a great online reputation and loyal customers,you tell people that your product can be purchased here.

You also have an amazing affiliate program set up already here so if online marketers love your products they can market it for you. Maybe put the affiliate commission on that product higher the normal 10% and I think the sky is the limit!

Lynne. I agree with you. Something like this could potentially bring in "huge" buyers. The real "money spenders" so to speak and that wouldn't only benefit yourself as a seller, that would actually benefit SEOClerks as a marketplace too. In the long run.

That is very true and I've been selling ebooks and reports for about 3 years now. Both on and off of SEOClerks. That being said, I would most likely list something like this for sale on SEOClerks, as it wouldn't hurt. It takes a few minutes to set it up and once it's done, I would profit for each sale without any extra work. Well, only a minute or two of extra work would be required.

However, I do believe it's a good and decent way of making more or extra money. Digital products. Which is why I had to ask this question. Thanks for your reply!

The problem it's not where I'm going to sell it, since I am fully dedicated on SEOClerks, definitely I would sell it here, of course if it's allowed and met the requirements of listing guidelines and TOS of SEOClerks. But since that is a massive product you will need to use an hosting service like dropbox,onedrive mega or whatever, to send it to your clients, as the file size limit on SEOClerks is 50mb.

Now it really depends what files will contain that package but I assume that it will take 20GB at least, so the most important thing is to choose a hosting service plan with unlimited bandwidth.

Thanks for your reply procoder, I appreciate it. I would obviously have to use dropbox or something similar as the file size would be huge for something like this. I actually didn't think about that when I asked the question so thanks for the reminder.

Direct clients, target potential clients that need that super digital product you are offering. I would go on LinkedIn and target high-ranking managers from big companies and offer them directly a proposal with a little incentive.

Filtering out direct CEOs is also a good idea, I've read it about here on CD, maybe was something that Razzy or Mike posted (both of them post great content so I don't remember exactly which) but I followed his advice and filtered CEOs on LinkedIn, guess out? I've been getting offers for the past 2 weeks and I'm not even writing them direct messages.

Forgive me if I'm missing the point, I've read your post and read the replies in this thread. It seems you are asking where the best place to sell a product like that would be? Well if so, I personally believe SEOClerks to be the best place to list and sell a product like that. And not just SEOClerks but ListingDock too. Or even WordClerks too. And I'm not just saying that for the sake of saying it, I actually mean that it would probably be the best place to sell it. Of course, you can always sell things like that on WF and the like and forums as well. Or you can use something like JVZoo or other similar or alternative service to that. But if you listed it here on SEOClerks first, you could then just link to that service on here when you are promoting it on forums and the like.

And you're right in that the max file size is only 50MB. So if your product (including all it comes with) is more than 50MB you wont be able to upload it so the buyer can then download it after they've purchased it. But you can of course, use something like DropBox instead. Or even host it on your own site/server and then provide the buyer with the link to download it all when they have purchased it.

This has got me thinking though, of a feature suggestion of increasing the allowed upload size to more than 50MB for some people. Say Level 3+ sellers only or something. Allowing them to upload 100+ MB file attachments. I think that would be a cool addition/feature and surely come in handy for people like yourself who need that extra space due to having a large product like that.

If that's what you need, if that would help you, then you should make it an official suggestion!
