    It depends on the keyword. There are a lot of high paid micro niches, you just need to find them yourself. But among the best paid niches is the health niche, as long with insurance and banking.

    Banking and Finance niches including Loans and Mortgage, Credit and Finance, Debt consolidation all represent lucrative Adsense niches. You can easily optimize for words in those niches. But be prepared to use many long tail keywords as the more broad keywords (one and two words) have all been dominated.

    It's unpredictable. I have insurance niche website which is supposed to be highest but only getting 0.8-0.10$ CPC.

    I think that people are really health conscious nowadays and tend to visit health blogs quite often. Another popular niche is fashion and beauty. I am sure that concentrating on those niches will be very profitable. However, competition may be tough in those areas but this does not mean that one cannot be successful. Differentiation is the key to success.

    I actually have no idea of high paying niches but I think unique niches can be considered high paying like scientific subjects. There was one article that I had read about marine biological study in the Antarctic sea (or ocean). That is a pretty unique niche but I just cannot say if it will have many readers because who will be interested in the marine life in the south pole? But I guess that niche makes sense.
