    When it comes to choosing a website's niche and actually starting a new project, we all know it takes a lot of time until the first earnings will start to appear and even long for an actual profit to be achieved.

    Now, I'm won't going to share exact keyword phrases, because some of them I want to keep them for myself and my clients. What I'm do going to share are the general ideas and subjects of these niches, pushing you into the right direction for finding highly searched phrases with very low competition that don't have much backlinks authority.

    So here it is:

    "# near me" - So basically anything with the "near me" suffix. You just have to replace the # part. Example: freelancers near me; pet groomers near me; mechanics near me; etc.

    This works great in most languages I guess, you just have to replace "near me" with the other's language equivalent, I may not be the only one that found this idea for English based websites but you may definitely be the first one to target such keywords for different language and country.

    Hey Cristian,
    This was a nice little idea you shared. However, I personally never search for anything with "near me" although I know it's a commonly used search-phrase. I can't explain why I don't use it either, as I actually don't know. - I guess it's just due to how I search for things.

    With that being said, I got an idea immediately during the time I read this, but that idea will probably go right down the drain as most of them.. - I appreciate it though. Perhaps I'll start to use it further on because of this. Free idea for niches that can actually turn a profit

    Seriously? Do people really use the search phrase "near me"? I would never have thought and I have never used it before. I have used "near" but not the me. Add in a town so I will say "near Cape Town" or "near XXXX airport" for example but not me.

    What does Google do with the "me does Google always know where you are?

    I am totally intrigued by this so please elaborate?

    Yes! For lots of things. Puppy training for example. People get a new puppy and want to find classes near them. So they type and search puppy training near me or puppy training new Essex or whatever. Or Zumba classes, or Karate classes etc etc. And yes to your second question. If you have allowed Google to know your location, it will show you sites for things that are near you (to your location).

    Example: I just searched for puppy training near me and it showed me this result.

    So that's what happens but for whatever it is you search.

    Ok well Google thinks I am in Cape Town, South Africa for some reason when I search from my laptop. I am not sure why. I will try this on my phone instead though.

    I am so excited to learn about this technique though since I will be launching a local website very very soon! I think that this is going to be like way cool way to get traffic to that new website!

    Okay. This isn't what I first thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be a way to come up with new niche ideas. But for this, you must already have a niche you are working in first. I guess for someone like myself as an SEO and freelancer, I might search something like SEO classes near me. Or if I was looking for some kind of businesses to target like dry cleaners who need some SMM promotion. I might type and search something like dry cleaners near me to find a list of dry cleaners that are, well, near me. More or less! Free idea for niches that can actually turn a profit

    This reminds me very much of just using Google Auto Suggest to find keywords to target. Long tail keywords that I can create a blog post on and target. So I'll start with a single seed word at first. Like SEO for example. Then using Google Auto Suggest, chose one of the other words that are auto suggested and keep doing that over and over until I have a really long tail keyword.

    Actually I've never used "near me " phrase to search on Google, even though I know that sometimes works better to get some more accurate results but I still prefer to search directly via names. For example, if I'm searching for some restaurants in my town , I just type : xxx restaurant and it will show all restaurants that are located in my town.

    Near me I think it's the best option to use when you're in vacation outside of your town or your country, it will help you to find things that you don't know much about them like you know in your country.

    That's a new one for me as well. However it doesn't struck me as the best tool to find micro niches. Like the guys said already, i would rather use Google's Auto suggest option thing to get the most popular long tails in a particular domain and until now it proved that it works smoothly.

    As a seaman, i often find myself in different part of the world so i think that i can use your suggestion to look for pubs, bars and restaurants. Or i can use use it to find something to get entertained by.

    You can also use Google Now and just say "Ok Google show me pubs near me" and depending on your location Google will provide some suggestions.

    On the other hand, talking about niches, well think about it, EVERYBODY already uses Google suggestions for getting niche ideas or LSI keywords (?Latent Semantic Indexing).

    I don't think I've used the near me in the search box on anything, but it seems a good idea to try out as long as it is going to help increase my presence on the places that I work on the internet. Thank you for the amazing post and I promise to try it soon.

    I have never searched anything near me, however, when I make searches I want to find global services as well as local services. For instance, if I want to trade bitcoin locally I will search trade bitcoins in Kathmandu. Instead of typing trade bitcoins near me, I will type trade bitcoins in Kathmandu. I always want to be specific. I live in Nepal and I know google will show results based on my location. However, I live in a small town and Google does now know where I exactly live.
    having said that I see a value in using near me in searches. I am thinking to set up a maternity store and I will be doing a lot of research related to my competitor performances and searching maternity store near me will certainly help.

    What I do in times that I need ideas is to search for my niche. Let’s say my niche is pets so I will search not only for the word pet or pets but a phrase like “unique pets” or any other combination. The phrase with the word pet will not be exhausted as long as you can think of the word to be combined with your niche. I have been doing that before although not for my niche but for another project. And I find it beneficial.
