First of all you need to make a video and upload on youtube. Give a good title for the video. It is better of the title is a long tail search term or exact match of the search query. Secondly, you need to write a good description using primary and secondary keywords. Thirdly, on your description, you should give your website links. If the visitors liked your video they might want to check your website.

Some websites are now using the video in promoting their links. One example is a video that is related to a popular love team on tv which has countless of fans. When a video is posted with keyword pertaining to that love team, the tendency of the fans is to check it out. And when the video is good, they will watch it until the end. Now, the last part can have a line that says – if you want some more, visit my site (website address).

You can promote your articles through youtube or promote youtube videos through articles. This works well if your video/article is a DIY project. For instance, you write a recipe article. If you create a video showing to prepare this dish, you can send traffic to your article through the video and send traffic to your video through the article. Since seeing is believing, a lot of people prefer to watch videos instead of reading.
