Working as your own IT company can be pretty profitable since not everyone is tech savvy. You can use your tech skills and knowledge to help others and make a pretty penny at the same time 
You will most likely have to visit some houses and businesses to do the work since not all of it will be remotely available, but it's worth it in the long run when you decide to hire employees to do the grunt work.
If you can land a big gig for a company that is outsourcing their IT work then you can start on the road to financial freedom. These big companies will pay a good amount for IT support if they don't have to do it themselves. They will pay a premium because they won't have to find the right candidates and then weed out the ones that aren't performing. These companies want to hire the best, and you need to make them know you have the best on your side
While having a big IT gig with a corporation you can also do side jobs since your schedule won't always be filled with work from the one company. Some IT companies have actually focused more on their side work after a while because the referrals began to snowball and turned into it's own entity and profit funnel.
For this to work you'll need to stay on top of your customer support and respond fairly quick to all inquiries. When something goes down, people are usually using it and need it back up asap and that's where you come in to save the day and make a premium doing so
You'll need to be on call 24/7 and do a lot of work at the start, but in time you can hire teams to stay up during certain shifts and cover the 2am emergency IT calls while you sleep
This is still technically a "Work from anywhere" type of job because you can set this up wherever you want since everyone has computers in todays world
Ohh IT is a multi-million dollar business! Ever since there have been personal computers, there has been IT departments. From those PC repair shops in your local high street. To the Bangledesh call centers where you get to speak to someone named Raj. :D
But this could indeed be a massive money spinner for anyone who already has a lot of IT skills and is tech minded. Especially for the Millennial Generation or Generation X/Y/Z people that have grown up with computers since an early age. People just like me and you that have been working online for years and have many self taught PC skills.
And you wouldn't even need to have an official office or factory or warehouse either. You could do it all from the comfort of your own home. You wouldn't even need to drive either. You could just get people to deliver their broken down PC to your home and then get them to come and pick it up again when it's fixed. Although if you did have your own transport this could be better. You could charge a little extra for collection and delivery when fixed. And since most people don't have the time in the day to do that, they would probably happily pay the extra for that service. I've used PC repair centers before, local Internet cafe / PC repair shops and paid the extra for collection and delivery when fixed.
You would need to be on call 24/7 though that's the only thing. I remember once when I was using Windows ME (the worse Windows version EVER). And it broke down at around 3AM when I was doing something and I desperately needed it fixed. I remember calling some guy from my Yellow Pages about it and I could hear his wife in the background going "Who's that calling at this ungodly hour" LOL

I have good relationship with computers since I was born
IT is one of those jobs that you have a lot of stories to tell
Now , I'm not planning to open an IT company, but yeah I would need a team first. Oh IT! I would love to have an IT company, and at least 4-10 employees, because going to their houses it's simply annoying, especially when they call you to fix their Skype, or when they are lazy to click the sign in button. :D I have good relationship with computers since I was born :D , I've worked as computer technician, and I've had my own computer service shop. So, I want to say that working as IT it's not easy,at least not when you work alone, I've changed a lot of times my phone number just because to avoid their crazy calls :D IT is one of those jobs that you have a lot of stories to tell :D Now , I'm not planning to open an IT company, but yeah I would need a team first.
