Well people will pay more for a website with higher PR(if you plan on selling it in the future).
It also has better results in the search engines.

Highrank page helps a blog or forum to be visible on the first page of the search engine do that whenever a search is done on that keyword your blog or forum will pop up and the page will be clicked.

This help to drive free organic traffic to your site and this will bring more money if AdSense is the means for monetization.

High page rank means your website appears on the top search results. When your website appears within the first few pages of the search results, it is very likely that you will get good organic traffic. Organic traffic has better conversion rate. When the traffic converts, click through rate is also higher. Click through rarte means chances of getting your ads clicked. When visitors interacts with your ads, you will make more money.
