Using traffic exchanges to generate sales and lower your bounce rate. It can be done.

Now I'm sure a lot of us have used a traffic exchange in the past or even use them today. We all know that the quality of these traffic exchanges usually isn't very good, but we'll use them anyway in hopes of snagging a quality lead here and there. It's quite possible to snag a good lead through traffic exchanges, but you have to do it the right way.

The trick I like to do is set up a type of buffer website in order to snag people who are paying attention to their browser when they're surfing. This really doesn't have to be very complicated, you can just put up a one page website that has a "Click Here" button that opens in a new tab. It has to open in a new tab in order to keep the person browsing, you don't want to piss them off by interrupting that. Because you know as well as I do that if someone gets annoyed with you, they probably won't be purchasing Using traffic exchanges to generate sales and lower your bounce rate. It can be done. Put one or two lines of text on the page so they can read it within 10 seconds and decide if they want to click through. If you're selling yoga pants you should put up some text with an image that says "50% off all our yoga pants" and have your "Click Here" button just below the text. This is a short and sweet line of text and lets people know what you have and the money they will be saving if they buy from you Using traffic exchanges to generate sales and lower your bounce rate. It can be done.

Buying 1,000,000 visits from a traffic exchange won't do much if they are on your page for 10 seconds. Mainly because the traffic exchange will slow down the load of your website because it's within an iframe. So it could actually take 10 seconds for your website to load and the person is already on to the next page before they can read your ad/text. I like to set my visits to 30 seconds so that I know my page is loading and the person has time to read the text and click through Using traffic exchanges to generate sales and lower your bounce rate. It can be done.

The main reason for setting up a buffer website to do this is because all traffic exchanges will kill your bounce rate and bandwidth. The people who click through are interested in what you're selling and will be on your website for a good amount of time viewing multiple pages. So this will help you with sales and your bounce rates Using traffic exchanges to generate sales and lower your bounce rate. It can be done.

You'll want to set up a shared hosting account that offers unlimited bandwidth so you don't get cut off and begin wasting your traffic through the traffic exchanges.

I have used my fair share of traffic exchanges in the past as well, and found that they are basically a waste of time if you're trying to sell products. If you just want traffic to your website then by all means join a traffic exchange. I actually had my own traffic exchange website, which got over 50 members in the first week of launching.

Here's a scope of what happened:
Members would submit their site, and never log back in. I believe I had 3 users who actively surfed websites, and 1 user who actually bought traffic packages.

Now, i decided to start again, and used a script I sell called "Traffic Exchange System Script" and it somehow seems to do quite well.. perhaps what I found to be annoying, other users did as well is the games, trophies, or other irrelevant functions that do nothing in terms of traffic, and it's just a basic traffic exchange script with no games, or anything like that.. it focuses on just traffic mostly.

The only traffic exchange site that I liked is Hitleap, I've tried a few times their traffic and I can say that is very difficult and to generate sales from this type of traffic.

The problem it's not the site itself, the problem are bot accounts..well most of all users that are registered in those websites are fake accounts generated by bots.

You can get a lot of traffic, but not even a single sale since it is simply a software that is visiting your website.

Traffic from exchange sites was good back in the day, but today it's totally different, something should change because no one trust on those sites anymore, including myself. They can stop abusers from their service, but they don't want to stop it.

Which traffic exchange site do you think is legit and working without being abused?

yeah, hitleap is mostly bots because they encourage it if you have multiple IP addresses.

For my method to work you'll have to target manual traffic exchanges where people have to click through to continue on to the next page. If you can make the one page website catchy and get the user to read it, you'll have a higher chance of getting a click and sale Using traffic exchanges to generate sales and lower your bounce rate. I don't believe that suggested tactic will work to lower bounce rate or make better sales conversion. I tried many different tactics and same as this one, and none of them worked regarding conversion to sales.

First of all, traffic exchange users are there because it's free and they would only look for further freebies if they look for anything while surfing in order to earn credits.

This people is also bombarded by all kind of spam, sales, catchy pages, subscription form etc etc and i believe they feeling sick to click on any of these offers, except it's total beginner surfing there. So from my point of view, using traffic exchanges for anything but high bounce rate visits is hopeless and time wasting.

It doesn't help the bounce rate of your one page website because people will be coming to it and leaving when the timer tells them to. But the people that actually read the page and click through to your real website will be interested in what you have and be more willing to sign up for something.

Not all traffic exchange users are there because it's free. They are there because they don't know how to gain traffic and want it immediately. They may not know exactly what they're doing because they're new to the whole game, and those people usually have day jobs in which they can use the paychecks from to pay me for services starting at $2 lol.

I recently set up a system like this and I'm up $50 so far. So when you say it doesn't work, I say I'm already getting it to work ;)

Razzy how does this differ to sending people to a lead page?

I've noticed that bounce rates are awful with traffic exchanges and pay to click websites. I played around with it before a long time ago and I found the traffic very bad quality and I've since come to realize that this traffic can be damaging to my website.

If I understand you correctly you are saying that this method involves a one page website set up specifically to take the hit of the bad bounce rate, and if anyone is interested in the offer they will then click through to the website you actually want to make sales on?

I can see the sense in this since the traffic is so cheap so you can afford to get loads of it and even if you only make one or two sales it might be worthwhile.

Correct. The one page website you set up will have a horrible bounce rate lol Using traffic exchanges to generate sales and lower your bounce rate. It can be done. But the people who actually click through will be interested in what you have to offer. You won't get 1,000s a day, but you will get a few if you do it right.

Man I used to spend so much time using Traffic Exchange sites to try and promote my money blog. I used to use them for about a year and at one point I was a member of about 50 traffic exchange sites. I can't even remember what they were all called now or even if they're still up and running. I used to have a bookmark category full of about 50 traffic exchange sites and sites like it. But I stopped using them a long time ago and even until quite recently still had the bookmark category in my browser but I think eventually deleted it.

Checks.. No, my bad, I do still have a bookmark category of lots of traffic generation sites. Here is a print screen of them.
Using traffic exchanges to generate sales and lower your bounce rate. It can be done.
However, from what I remember, despite using many of them, I don't think I captured any sign ups or gained any clicks from them at all. I wasn't using Adsense with them as that is against Adsense TOS but was using other affiliate links/banners etc for things. Eventually though what I remember worked best was to advertise other traffic exchange sites or my site that reviewed them. So I basically created this blog that reviewed traffic exchange sites. It was one of those top site lists I think that people could vote on them and submit their own. I was promoting this to get referrals for those sites which would then earn me credits I could use on views without having to do the viewing myself. But I don't think it came to nothing much and eventually realized how it was all just a massive waste of time and stopped using them.

I got into other things which turned out to be much more rewarding like forum promotion and blog commenting and the like. I used to get actual real sign ups and affiliate clicks and traffic from all of that work, so much so that I wish I'd never spent a single minute on them and put all that time and energy into doing something that actually worked and provided real results for life. Not just while you have credits! LOL

Mike I am interested to know how to get people to sign up for Clixsense... do you think using a traffic exchange will work? I have a good few referrals there now and they are all clicking away faithfully. If I can build them up I will be making a nice little side income for you know extra pocket money... a rainy day LOL

I wouldn't bother Lynne. You'll end up spending a lot of time on it and getting very little in return. There are many much much better things to do to promote a site like that. Honestly, forget traffic exchanges for promoting things like that. I mean, you can try it but you'll end up wasting a lot of time on them that you could be devoting to much better things like blogging, blog commenting, forum promotion, social media promotion and many other ways that are much more effective. Plus once you run out of credits, you have to spend many hours looking at other peoples boring sites just to earn credits so people can see yours and only like 1% of them will actually follow your call to action where as advertising and promotion lasts forever. So long as the post you've created is up.

Oh no I don't have the time to spend viewing other people's websites, noooo!

I can think of lots of better things to do than that, like sitting on my ass and staring at the wall in peace and quiet.. or maybe sleeping LOL

OK so I should promote my review on social media rather?

That is a good information to give us an insight on traffic exchange. I believe that thing you said about members who would post their link and never come back. We have to admit that we sometimes do that, right? I have noticed in the internet that most users really don’t care and their only objective is to obtain what they want. In other words, the traffic exchange may only be used for selfish motives.
