Finding the right keywords is a really demanding task. One that can be pretty boring if you lack inspiration on a certain topic or niche.
I've found that Wikipedia is a great place to get keyword ideas. I always read a little Wikipedia to get more information on the niche I'm working on.
A more unusable place of getting good keyword are real books, you can find really good keywords just by reading the chapter titles or overall book table.
Facebook groups and Question and Answer Networks may also provide a good deal of keyword ideas.
What other sources of getting good keyword ideas do you guys have?

I kind of skimmed over what everyone said, so hopefully no one mentioned this lol :D
I tend to go on Google and type in my main keywords. Yeah, seems dumb but keep listening lol :D
I'll enter my main keywords and then I'll scroll to the bottom and see the related searches.

Now this is pretty similar to the keyword planner, but you won't see a lot of these keywords until you run a campaign in adwords or bing/yahoo advertising until you have been live for a few days and they offer you "opportunities". The opportunities will give you keyword suggestions based on your current keywords and what ads you have going.
I could be completely wrong though lol :D But this is a good, and super free, way of getting keyword ideas that you know have already been searched enough to show up as "related searches" :D

I'll also use just Google auto suggest sometimes as well. Just literally starting with one or two words and see what is auto suggested and choose one and then see what else it suggests and so on for different keywords. But I'll usually start with that and then end up running them through Keyword Planner Tool just to see which ones are the most searched and therefore which I should most go with.
For further research I like to use the Kwinder (Keyword Finder) App. This gives you lots of keyword suggestions for similar keywords as well as can show you other valuable things like the current sites ranking top for those keywords, what their da/pa/mr/mt, backlinks count, fb and g+ count and rank and est visits etc. As well as the trend, volume, CPC and PPC and even what the difficulty of it might be.

You can even import a list of your own keywords and choose to filter the results by country too.
Another similar but more recent keyword finder tool I'm using is keywordtool.io
Just their free version gives you many keyword ideas and longtail keyword ideas. You can also choose to see keywords from Google, YouTube, Amazon and the Apple Appstore and choose the country and language of each which is useful for those of you who want to know keywords from different countries and in different languages. They have a pro account that lets you see the search volume, CPC and AdWords competition as well as API access but I've never used this myself and there's no need to if you just want some ideas.
So that's several ways I go about finding keyword ideas. There are some other cool keyword finding sites, tools and apps out there. ScrapeBox is another excellent tool for finding keyword ideas as well as telling you tons of other stuff about them if you have it. But using these sites should be more than enough to come up with many hundreds of keyword ideas on a shoestring budget and for free!
