How to find good CPC keywords

A few days ago a site of mine started getting a lot of traffic, so I immediately installed a few Adsense adverts, with the aim of making a few bucks. It turns out, I could not have been more wrong! Apparently the site's keyword was incredibly low payout and I ended up making a tiny amount.

Since then I have been searching for the best way to find keywords that have a high CPC and CPM. I know Google AdWords shows you this, but I want to speed up the process and find new keywords at the same time. What tools are you guys using for this?

Check out semrush. I had a paid account some time ago and it gave pretty good detailed information for the following:
Example: Keyword, Search Volume, CPC, Competition, Number of Results, Trends.
There was also more info on who is the competition and what they spend for keywords which, is very helpful for advertisers. What's cool is that you can pick the highest paying words for your site to maximize income. semrush It is a nice tool but I would look around to see what else is out there in the marketplace because I haven't looked for quite a while. I hope that this helps. Oh yeah, if you do the free search on semrush they they only give you five per day so, make them count!

What a disappointment that must be! I think the free Google keyword tool is the tool that shows you what the paid traffic people are bidding on. Other paid keyword tools will show you what is happening overall with keywords so I believe the information can be very different.

Well check google keyword planner, it has the "suggestion bid" and you can get a pretty good idea about high CPC keyword if they have a high suggestion bid in Google Keyword Planner.

Also, from my experience, green energy related keyword as well as anything health related are very good paying with google adsense.
With the green energy thing I had clicks that ranged between 0.5 and 5 bucks. So, REALLY good niches.
