Hi friends,
I launch a new website and want to run a free SEO program. I'm not sure can I trust them and provide my WP access to them!? Websites like free-seo dot us provide such a service.
Any suggestions from you will be appreciated, Thanks.

I don't mean to toot my own horn, but *toot*toot* lol I do know that paypal is now increasing their work force to handle digital product disputes. I've lost plenty of money because people post ridiculous disputes and paypal is like "Well, they don't have an SEO campaign in their lap. REFUND!!!!" Check their reviews online anywhere you can see them, not exactly yelp because that's for more of a physical business and a lot of SEO companies are built with freelancers. If someone had a shitty time with an SEO company, they'll post it where they can.
It really depends on the company.
I've offered free SEO services to clients who are on the fence when it comes to signing up. I'll offer them a free month of search engine optimization (on page and off page) and they can decide to sign up afterwards if they would like. This is basically a selling tactic for me since I know it's going to help because my team and myself are pretty great at what we do :D I don't mean to toot my own horn, but *toot*toot* lol :D
If you're signing up for a "free trial" and have to use your paypal account, then it's not actually free is it? I've seen plenty of companies do this and then charge full price to their "clients" because they forgot to cancel the subscription. Do your due diligence, don't just go with a company and let them "help" you out. You could actually be letting a kid get into your servers to optimize your pages and all he did to become a "guru" was read "SEO for Dummies" haha :D Check their reviews online anywhere you can see them, not exactly yelp because that's for more of a physical business and a lot of SEO companies are built with freelancers. If someone had a shitty time with an SEO company, they'll post it where they can.

That instantly stopped me in my tracks. I mean, who are these people? What do they get out of it? What are the terms? Nothing in life is ever truly free. There is always some sort of catch somewhere along the line. However, it's not to say they would do anything unscrupulous or untoward on your site but how can you know? And actually, you'd think this would be covered in their Terms & Conditions. But on clicking that link in their footer, there is no terms page it's just a #. So that puts me off instantly!
The other thing to note, and one way you can find out about a website or company, is by looking at their social pages and profiles, their Facebook page, Twitter account etc and seeing if there's anything left by disgruntled users etc. However, it appears their social pages don't really have that much of a following. Their Facebook page only had about 50 likes and no real big professional company would only have that many likes/fans. The same can be said about their other social profiles too.
So with that, with their site having no terms and conditions. With their social profiles having not many followers. Plus a quick Google search on their domain for "free-seo.us" -site:free-seo.us only showing 13 results (Yeah 13 is an unlucky number). I would NOT give your FTP login details and trust them no. Not in a million years!
Personally, I think this is a setup to steal your FTP login details acting under the guise that they're going to do you a service of on-page SEO. But you can get this kind of stuff elsewhere from much reputable companies and freelancers on SEOClerks too.
So no, I would not trust it, I don't think you should trust it. Especially if you have an already big site and hosting plan.
