    How to add my logo to my website header?

    Ok so I am finally getting a logo design for one of my websites, which is really exciting and quite frankly a year too late but anyway....

    How do I add this logo to my website header? Do I need a website header image designed specially for my header or can I just stick my logo in there somehow?

    I have a logo for one of my other websites but I haven't known how to add it to my header so I just haven't gotten around to it.

    Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

    Lately most of WordPress themes comes with it's configuration panel where you can set up certain things related to that theme, but also to add logo. So it really depend on theme you currently have installed. You may have look in your admin panel under "appearance" submenu if there is option for your theme.

    If there is no option to add logo to your header trough admin panel as i said, then you will need to edit header template in Admin > Appearance > Editor, choose header file and edit it.

    So i suggest you first have look what options you have then let me know if you need more guidance, and i will explain further

    Sounds great, Lynn. It's always best to brand your websites and make them unique.

    Can you specify the website in which the logo will be displayed on? Are you using Wordpress, or a custom code website?

    If you're using Wordpress, there should be options within the theme's design settings.

    Here's some information from Wordpress:

    Adding your Site Logo
    1. Open My Sites → Customizer and click on the Site Identity section.
    2. In the section that opens out, click the Add Logo button to open the Media Manager.
    3. Upload a new image, or select one that's already in your Media Library.
    4. Click Set as logo, and you will see your logo appear in the preview window.

    Both websites are Wordpress and I am sure that will help me get it added. I am so excited! My own logos!

    I'm not sure it will happen today though. My internet is giving me trouble, I am behind with all my work and I think I am getting an ear infection... it is one of THOSE days!

    The two supplied methods should work if you're using a WP theme that has a theme options panel or simply by using WP's Customizer. Otherwise you may have to add it into your sites header.php file manually in the right location. That would be worst/last case scenario though and probably only apply if you're using a WP theme that was coded before 2005! How to add my logo to my website header?

    Oh dear Mike, let's hope the two supplied methods work. You know me, I am not a clever bunny when it comes to things like header.php. If it comes to that then I hope there is a service I can buy here where someone can do it for me.

    It's easy there's a customize or edit button. When you press it there's a lot of editing tools that would let you upload your logo, it's quite easy.

    If you are using wordpress and if your theme supports logo in the header, you can easily add logo by customizing your theme. However, if your theme does not have this option, you can try plugins. Wordpress has plugins for every needs. You don't really need coding skills to customize your wordpress site.
