What's something you wish you knew before Youtubing?

What's something you wish you knew before you began your channel on Youtube? For instance, maybe you are finding it difficult to get subscribers to views. What obstacles are you facing now that you were not prepared for?

I wish I knew that you can't just put up a video or two and expect subscribers because people will only subscribe to channels with lots of content. So I would tell anyone starting out to compile as many videos as you can for your channel and just keep publishing and getting your link out there to as many sites as you can until the subscribers starting coming in.
